Summer vacation is in full-swing; we hope that yours has been great so far, whether you’ve been travelling or enjoying some of the great things this part of Ontario has to offer.

Thinking Forward’s anti-bullying program is on break while school is closed for the summer, but as an organization our commitment to helping put an end to bullying never wanes. And we know that school is not the only place where bullying occurs. Studies in every part of the country are indicating a rise in online bullying. And with summer vacation, students have more free time. If there are children in your sphere of influence, it might be worthwhile to strategize some steps to take to make sure they are not victims of nor participating in online bullying. If you have any helpful tips on this matter, please do share them with friends or family or on social media and help more children have a summer that’s bullying-free.

It won’t be long now before vacation is over and it’s school time again. As Thinking Forward prepares for another year of programming in Toronto schools, please consider how you might get involved. You can spread the word about the work we’re doing, become a donor, or participate as a volunteer. And together we can continue to make a difference in lives, in schools, and in our city.
