The school year is quickly approaching. And right along with it is another year of Thinking Forward’s anti-bullying program in Toronto schools!

Most months, at the conclusion of this space, we’ll pose something along the lines of, “please consider how you might get involved.” Turns out there are a couple of extra ways to get involved that are red-hot right now; check these out:

Do you love to run? Or, do you at least like to run? Maybe you don’t care for running at all but you love being part of a passionate group of people who are having fun while doing something meaningful together…if any of those three describe you, then Thinking Forward’s participation in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is just the thing for you! You can challenge yourself over 5 km, a half-marathon (21.1 km), or a full marathon (42.2 km), and raise support for Thinking Forward’s important programming. To find out more, or to say, “I’m in!”, please contact aileen.lam@thinkingforward.ca.

Also, the rest of this month and all of September are an even-better-than-usual time to make a financial donation to Thinking Forward. Two incredibly generous donors have pledged to match all contributions in this time-frame, up to $5000. So by simply following the “Donate” link at the top of this page, you can know that your support will have double the impact as Thinking Forward brings its character-education work to schools in Toronto this year.

With these opportunities and more, you can make a difference as Thinking Forward seeks to “Strive For 25” this year, and extend our reach to twenty-five schools in the city, and in doing so do our part to help more and more students, schools and communities be free from bullying.
